Privacy Policy for Poker Heist

Poker Heist is a game you play inside a Discord voice call. This policy explains what it does with your data. The short version: it keeps almost nothing, and nothing at all once you close it.

What we collect

When you launch Poker Heist, Discord gives the app:

Your Discord user ID
Your display name

That is the entire list. Poker Heist requests the identify and guilds OAuth scopes; it uses the identity to put your name on a seat, and does not read, store, or transmit your server list.

Poker Heist does not collect or have access to:

your email address, phone number, or real name
your Discord password
your messages, in any channel or DM
your voice audio — the game is played over voice, but it never touches the audio stream
your IP address (Discord proxies all traffic, so the app never sees it)
payment information — the game is free and has no purchases

How it is used

Your user ID and display name are used only to run the game in progress: to seat you, to show your name on a chip, and to reconnect you to the same seat if your connection drops.

They are never used for advertising, never sold, never shared with anyone, and never used to build a profile.

How long it is kept

Until the game ends or the server restarts, whichever comes first.

Game state lives in memory only. There is no database. When the last player leaves a room, that room and everything in it is deleted immediately. When the server restarts, every game in progress is gone.

Nothing about you is written to disk on our side.

What is stored on your own device

Poker Heist saves two things in your browser's localStorage, on your device:

Achievement progress and lifetime stats (games played, vaults cracked)
Whether you muted the sound

This never leaves your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser storage for Discord erases it. Because it is tied to the origin, it does not follow you to another computer.

Third parties

Poker Heist sends no data to any third party. There is no analytics, no advertising, no error-reporting service, and no tracking of any kind.

The app communicates with Discord in order to function — Discord's own Privacy Policy governs the data Discord holds about you.

Children

Poker Heist is not directed at children under 13, and follows Discord's own minimum age requirements. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your rights

Because Poker Heist keeps no persistent record of you, there is nothing to export or delete on our side — closing the activity already deletes it. To erase the local data, clear your browser storage or use the option in Discord's settings.
